Kirito watched her as she ignited the wood, he grinned as she used her talents so effectively, even if it was a simple as lighting wood for a fire. "Thats all you are?" he starts to reply to her, "that talent's amazing..surely you've had some kind of friends...maybe even a romance? You're..amazing Korra, you have skills and talents I wish I had. you go on this adventure to train to be the worlds most powerful..Bender? yea bender right? Ive only known you for an hour, and..you re probably the most amazing person I've ever met."
He wanders over to the river, drawing his swords as he scouts the river for other fish, his movements are quick, almost in a blink he thrust the blade s into the water, lancing 2 fish in a matter of seconds. "That uncomplicated water tribe girl..well I like her, if you really are all that 'boring and simple' well then I guess we have more in common than I thought." She then moves onto him, curious more about the nervegear experience. "It..." He sighs, "I wish I could tell..when youre trapped in a virtual reality for over two years, and literally JUST got out of it a little while ago..." He turns back to her looking her over before looking into her eyes, slightly blushing, "In a weird way I hope its real.."
He then brings the fish over and sets them to cook "Word of caution..I suck at cooking. Hell I missed most of my high school years so far thanks to Sword Art Online. and in Sword Art Online..I never leveled my cooking skill, so..if all my skills form there translated here..yea, hehe. At least my hunting skill is high enough to catch food to begin with. All i know is, if I ever was gunna be a bender, I'd learn my skill form the best. For now though, I guess i gotta work with the skills I've got."
He then takes an extra fish he had, and tosses it to Naga, that big lovable dogbear must've still been hungry. Kirito checks the fish to make sure it isn't burning. "So..nice sunset isn't it?" Kirito still had a hard time being a people person, small talk didn't quite come naturally to him.

Korra finds herself smiling sheepishly as he compliments and compliments her. He almost sounds like Bolin.. oh how she missed her buddy. She shrugs absently as she scoops up a long stick and breaks one end off of it. She gingerly picks up one of the cooking fish (kind of bobbling as she makes an ‘ow ow ow’ sound), and she skewers it on the stick. She holds it out and points two fingers at it, and a small burst of flame engulfs the fish as she speaks. “I have friends, sure. They call themselves ‘Team Avatar’” she says with a soft chuckle as she watches the fish she is cooking. “I have so many wonderful friends… but sometimes it feels like they’re my friends cause I’m the Avatar.” She shrugs again as the fire from her fingers stops. The smell of perfectly cooked fish fills their little camp. She holds the done fish on the skewer out to him, motioning him to take it. She scoops up another near stick, and skewers another of the fish on it. She starts to cook it with her free hand, using a small controlled stream of flame.
“Romance… pfft” she sticks her tongue out all brat like with the thought. “I thought there was a boy I liked, but he only had eyes for a rich city girl.” She says as she rolls her eyes. She then sighs at herself and corrects herself. “That’s not fair. I love both of them.. as friends and all. The Fire Ferrets wouldn’t be where we were without her. It just wasn’t in the cards.” She stops the flames from her fingers and starts to take small bites from the fish. It’s actually very good. “And yeah, I learned to hone all my different Bending styles from the greatest Bending teachers in the world. Most of them felt like it was their duty to train me. Water was so easy… so was Earth and Fire. I’ve been told the physical aspects of Bending are what I excel at. And now I’m on Airbending.. and I got nothin.” She says with a sigh. She takes another few nibbles of her fish, and suddenly a straight rock shoots up from the earth behind her. She leans against the new backstop as she eats.
“Tenzin says I haven’t been able to Airbend because I’m not” Now she does her Tenzin impression, sitting up straight and speaking with an exaggerated voice “Spiritually connected to that side of the Avatar as you should be. This is what is holding you back, but we will be patient. And one day, it’ll just click.” She shrugs again as she relaxes once more, eating more of her fish.
She watches him with a small smile as she eats her fish, and she then speaks, kind of with a mouthful of food. “So you just escaped that game thingy, and you were just living your life.. and now you’re here? But with your game thingy skills? Wow.. sounds like some kinda bad fiction or something. I really feel like there’s a reason we’re both here, though. I just got this feelin…” she says as she glances away from him, wishing she had more to go on besides her gut feelings. She feels like if she could achieve her ultimate skills as the Avatar, she’d have an easier time making sense of all this.
He mentions the sunset, and she looks towards it as she smiles a little. “Yeah, real nice.” She watches as the sun droops just along the horizon, now absently playing with what’s left of her fish, picking at it and all.

"So that team Avatar, are they all benders too?" He says as he takes the fish. HE stares at it a moment, "you've really practiced that fire bending into a multitool kit huh?" He takes a bite, and stills a long moment, before really starting to devour the fish, "wow you're amazing! its cooked so perfectly!" He said with a full mouth, accompanied by a chuckle. The food he was eating felt very real, only affirming to him this wasn't a dream or illusion.
He slowed his eating though when she started to speak of romance. while he mentioned it as part of a general goruping, she seemed to focus on it quite a bit. maybe she was looking for romance, she really did seem the type to not openly admit it. She was hurt by someone it seems, maybe hed learn more about it some other time, but he wasn't going to pry.
"The Fire Ferrets?" What are they? Were they your bending teachers? oh..you cant airbend?" He laughs at her interpretation of Tenzin. While it was accurate, he has no idea of anything remotely monk like, that much can be clear from his own fighting style. His fighting style was raw ferocity and willpower.
Just as he was starting to get comfortable learning more about her before it gets turned back on him, "Yea..Things were just starting to get back to normal. Thank goodness I have these skills and abilities though, if I didn't...I would be just..Kirigaya Kazuto.." She could tell that one of those was his first name, if she knew Japanese language flow, she would know it was Kazuto. What use would i be here if I didn't have those talents..I'd just be a weight..but since I have them.." He nodded to her statement, "Yea, were here for a reason, something brought us here...some how we're connected...but how?" He asked as he wandered over to her, taking a seat by her now enjoying the sunset sitting next to her.
He looks over to her when he isn't looking at the sunset, a slight blush coming about him. what was left of his fish he tossed to Naga, who devoured it happily. "At least we didn't end up alone here.." He said with a smile towards her, "I'll always have your back Korra, I promise"

A small smile forms on Korra’s lips as she watches him eat, as he exclaims how good it is. “Well when you grow up Water Tribe, fish is kind of a staple to your diet. So I’ve learned how to make it pretty good.” She shakes her head to his question about the ‘team’. “Not all of them were Benders, no. Bolin’s an Earthbender, Mako is a Firebender, but Asumi can’t bend. But she uses tech that her father’s company makes.” She smiles a little at the thought, of them going on patrol together. How she and Bolin would argue about who got to sit in the front seat, until Mako put an end to that.
“The Fire Ferrets is my pro Bending team. It’s kind of a sport.. a competition between Benders. An Earth, Fire and Waterbender on each team. And we try to knock each other out. We were actually pretty good.” Those were good times… and now.. here she is. In some world she doesn’t know, or how she got here or why. With some strange man… who’s barely as old as she. Funny how things work…
She doesn’t comment on not being able to Airbend, there’s no real reason to go into it more. The plain, simple truth is that she can’t. There’s nothing more to it than that. She smiles a little as she watches him, as he speaks, her eyes partially closed. She shakes her head a little, speaking in an amused tone. “Are you kidding? Why are you being so down on yourself? You’re an incredible swordsman. I mean how many people did you save back there? You do have those abilities here.. you’re not just some guy. You and me, we were brought here for a reason.” She says with a nod, her ponytails swaying a little.
She keeps her eyes now on the sunset as he moves to sit next to her. She can’t really bring herself to look at him, and she doesn’t know why. But she does smile with his sentiment, speaking softly. “Yeah, we’re not alone at least. And together we’ll figure this thing out..” She then looks to him, a brow perked “So with that thought… why don’t you get some sleep? I’ll take first watch. We can get a bright, early start in the morning and see if we can figure things out.”

While he wished that she went into more detail on this sport. though he caught onto an odd possibility of unfairness. "Hold on though..you're the Avatar, which means you can bend all the elements..isn't that cheating? You could be a one woman team by those rules. Either way, it sounds like a much more fun game than football [soccer in america]. Football you just kick a ball around alarge field and try to get the ball into a box called a goal."
Korra then starts talking about his swordsman skills, it caused him to procure a shy blush with a silly grin, "you're really too kind Korra" He nods at her follow up statement. They were brought here for a reason. Did it have something to do with these swords? This Shadow of War?
It didn't matter for the moment when Korra invited him to sleep, "Yea, together..okay, I'll take the second watch, If something happens, let me know. Kirito drifted into sleep, Naga coming over to his side to keep him company, sleeping at what would be Korra's feet near the fire. As he drempt, He saw faded images, like they were people of the past, all gathered around his new friend, Korra. They seemed like they were trying to reach out to her, but she remained just out of their reach. Was she in trouble? The scenario seemed to linger, but from time to time the spirits looked to him, urging him forward, as if they wanted to speak with him. At the end of the dream Korra seemed to be sinking away, reaching out for him, calling out his name.
He shot up from his sleep, calling Korra's name aloud, breathing heavily after asking if he was okay, Kirito offered to take up his shift then., once she was asleep, he sat with Naga, looking at Korra as she slept. She looked rather attractive, and watching her sleep didn't help those thoughts. Those thoughts though were more welcome than the dwelling on the dream. They were some how connected ,and he wasn't sure if this dream may have offered insight as to how. He had never seen these people before. In his watch time, he started working on a sketch pad. 3 distinguishing figures that he saw in his dream, drawings of Avatar Aang, Roku and Kyoshi were starting to take shape before the sun started to rise. he set the pad down from where he was sitting, wide open. He stripped down a moment, moving to the river, and giving himself a pseudo bath, his swords remaining at the foot of the river while he bathed, not really paying attention if Korra was up or not yet.

Korra leans back against her stone backrest as he speaks, her body relaxing a little. As much as she would allow, which isn't alot. "No no.. it's not cheating if I just stick to Waterbending. They made sure to make that stipulation as soon as they relazed I was the Avatar." She says with a small chuckle, remembering their opponents' outrage with the ruling.
She takes the first watch... and she has to admit to being a little nervous about it. It's really the first time she's been 'on watch'. Like for real. Sure she's kept a guard post during her various stages of training... but she always had the White Lotus to back her up. And she took comfort in that. With this, it's just her. And Naga.
Kirito falls asleep kind of quickly, she notices. Today was a real stressful day, for them both. She gets the impression that maybe she can handle such things better. After all, she's been training literally her whole life for these sort of situations. And he... well he said he played a game for a few years, and then this. So as he sleep, Korra is on her feet alot. She walks the perimeter a few times, keeping her mind on the task at hand. But also thinking about the whole situation.. why they were there, what they were supposed to do next. There's no real plan for this, no scroll she can go to in order to find out what the next step could be. Wait.. scroll... there was a scroll, the one Kirito was given. Maybe it would given them answers...
She is making another pass near the river, the moon reflecting elegantly upon the water surface. And that's when she hears Kirito cry out. Her eyes narrow as she dashes towards the campsite. And as she moves, flames ignite along her hands and arms. She skids to a halt near the campsite (the flames of the fire lean towards her for a moment), and she looks around quickly for danger. She moves into a Firebending defensive stance... a menacing, strong stance... as she speaks. "WhatWhat?!" Naga sits up a little, looking at Kirito worredly.
He offers to take the shift, then. He seemed like he didn't want to talk about what startled him. Probably a bad dream or something. She doesn't badger him to find out what it was... since she's rather tired, actually. She lays down upon the ground, and almost instantly she's asleep. After this long.. long... day, it doesnt take much for her to konk out.
And like Kirito, her sleep isn't so restful. Flash glimpses of creatures... things she doesn't recognize... and people (well they seem to be people) controlling the natural world around them. Flashes of steel.. and dozens of small creatures hiding wherever they could. She often would have strange dreams... and usually that's just what she racks it up to, strange dreams. Having no inkling someone is trying to communicate with her, warn her.
Morning comes, and her eyes flutter open slowly as she lays there on her side. She groans softly as she contnues to lay there a few more minutes, just not wanting to get up. But she eventually does. She sits up there in the dirt (not seeming to mind the dirt really) and looks around.. Kirito and Naga are nowhere to be seen. Well at first. She lifts her head up slightly and sees movement down by the river.. must be them. She smirks a little as she pushes herself to her feet, and lets out a loud groan as she stretches. trying to work each muscle in her body. Trying to get her whole body to wake up. She strides towards the river as she notices something... "Hm?" she leans down and scoops up his sketch pad, and she fasps at the images drawn upon it. "That's impossible.." she says softly. For a moment it occurs to her that this could be some kind of game... that he isn't who he says he is, that he has knowledge of the Avatars. But that thought doesn't last.
Now she sprints down towards the shore, her eyes on the sketching pad. Naga notices her right away of course as she lays upon the shore, and she slowly stands, her long tail wagging happily. Korra skids to a halt near the water's edge and looks towards Kirito. Who.. is naked. She spins around abruptly, feeling her cheeks get warmer. She kind of stammers as she holds the sketch pad over her head, the page facing him as she faces away from him still. "Hey! What the heck are these?! How did you draw these?! How did you know about them?"

Kirito was relaxing with his bath, but then hearing a now all too familiar voice, he jumped and turned bright red. He turned to see her turned around, her voice was stammering so she must have seen him. "H-HEY! Ww-wwhat are you- huh?" He want expecting such a reaction about that. When he first heard her raised voice, he thought it was because eh was bathing in such an open area, then he sees her with the sketch pad, which levels him off a little. "...I had a dream last night.."
He mvoes behind a tree getting his clothes back on. When he coems abck around, he takes the sketchpad, his hands resting on hers softly for a few moments. The contact, along with her skin being really nice, sent supernatural tingles down his spine. Pleasant, but odd for him. "My dream was odd. I..saw you in pain..in need..like you were trying to reach out to them...and they were cirlcled around you, trying to reach out to you too. You started sinking..lower and lower, then they turned to me..They knew my name, but I have no idea how! they were urging me forward as you called my name, only your hand reaching out left..That's when I woke up.."
He then looked long at the drawings, standing close with her as he did, flipping through the couple that he made, one group drawing, and the others individual shot. "Do you know who they are? I was thinking on it all night and I couldn't think of anything for the life of me. What do they have to do with you?"
She was all he was caring about right now. His dream depicted some kind of danger..but who were they, how did they know him?! Kirito didn't want her in danger. Was he forming a crush on her? Maybe, but that didn't matter. shes still an amazing person, and that alone was worth learning and fighting for.

"They're me."
She says bluntly as he asks about them. Finally she looks towards him...but slowly to ensure he's fully clothed... and she then sighs as she looks towards the sketchpad. There's a frown on her lips as she crosses her arms over her chest. "I mean.. they're my past lives. The Avatars that came before me." The good Avatars, unlike her. She points to them one by one. "Avatar... Kiyoshi... Roku... Aang..." she pauses as she stares at them, her fingertips lingering on the page. "Water.. Earth... Fire... Air..."
Now her eyes lift to Kirito as she still frowns "The fact you saw them... the fact I've never been able to. I mean... I'm the Avatar. The Avatar is supposed to be able to access the Spirit World... to speak to their former lives as spirits. But I never have... probably never will.." she sounds frustrated, almost angry. With herself, for the most part. Well for the whole part. More and more, she feels like such a failure as the Avatar.Even if she puts up a strong, confident front.
She flops down suddenly in the grass, her legs folded lotus style in front of her. She almost looks like she's pouting, with the frustrated look on her face, her cheek resting in her hand, her elbow on her knee. "Tenzin said that the Spirits.. both of my previous lives and the spirits around us all have probably tried to communicate with me. On more than one occasion. But I was just.. never spiritual enough... or whatever... to hear them. To percieve them. And then you" She points to him with a single finger from the hand her cheek is resting on as her eyes lift to him "Are suddenly drawing the Avatars like you're best pals with 'em." She sighs as she looks towards the grass in front of her. "I don't get any of this.." Naga gets up and meanders over to Korra, and then she lays down next to her, resting her chin on Korra's other knee, looking up at her.
